Instruction Windows 10

Welcome to the installation and activation instructions for: Windows 10. Are you working from a Windows 7/8 or don’t have an operating system? Then make sure you are in possession of a USB stick (at least 8gb free space) and from step 1, follow the steps. In this case, it is also important to backup the old documents/files, if you want to keep them.

Do you already own Windows 10? Then go to step 13.

* The images are purely for illustrative purposes. So do not pay attention to the version, because that is where the purchased version should be.

Step 1 – Click on the desired language
above and navigate to the
Microsoft website.
Then click Download Now
at Create Installation Media.
When the download is complete, click
it and open the .exe file

Step 2 – Step 2 – Agree to the license terms.
Then click Installation Media and click Next again .

Step 3 – Select the desired language, architecture and
version, and click “Next” to continue.
It is recommended to choose 64-bit (x64).
And check ”Use the recommended options for this PC”
.

Step 4 – Select the “Create installation media
(USB flash drive)” option.

Step 5 – After you have created the bootable USB drive and any backup, it is now time to boot the PC/laptop from the USB drive.
First, insert the USB drive into the laptop or PC and then reboot it. To access the boot menu, press a specific key during boot. For example, for Dell this is F12, for HP and Lenovo it is often F9, and for Asus and Acer it is usually Esc or F12. Consult your specific laptop model’s manual for precise instructions. Often this button is also displayed during boot. Select the USB drive and press Enter. The boot menu is also known as BIOS.

Step 6 –

Your computer should now boot from
the bootable media and the
Windows 10 installation process should start,
follow the on-screen instructions to select the
language preferences, time zone, keyboard layout and
other installation options. Click
‘Install Now’ to continue.

Start by installing Windows 10.

Step 7 – Here you enter the purchased license key.
If you don’t have it handy, click;
”I don’t have a product key”
Then you arrive at the next screen, where you select the correct
download. Choose the version you have
purchased. This will in most cases;
Windows 10 Home/Windows 10 Pro are.
Note; do NOT click on the N variants.

Step 8 – Click the
“Custom: install Windows only (advanced)” option
to proceed with a clean install.

Step 9 – First delete all partitions and then select
the partition containing the current installation
(usually “Drive 0”). Click the “Delete” button
for this partition and then continue by clicking “Next”
.

Step 10 – Windows 10 is now installing.
This normally takes 15 minutes, but this
can take up to several hours. This is entirely dependent
on system specifications.
When the installation is complete, your PC or laptop
will reboot.

Step 11 –

Choose the country you are in now and the correct
keyboard layout.

Classification for time and currency: Dutch or English.

Keyboard or input method:
United States (NL/QWERTY) or
France (BE/AZERTY).

Step 12 – Log in with your Microsoft account or
if you don’t have one yet, create one.
After you have done this, the installation
is complete and the software only needs to be
activated.

Step 13 – Make sure you are on the Home screen of your PC/laptop.

To activate the software, you need to follow the following short steps;
Activate Windows 10 with a product key:

  • Click the Start button (the Windows logo) in the taskbar.
  • Go to Settings (the gear icon).
  • Click Update and Security.
  • Select Activation from the left menu.
  • Click Change Product Code.
  • Enter the 25-digit product key and click Next.
  • Then click Activate to permanently activate Windows 10.

Congratulations, your Windows 10 has been activated.
