Welcome to the installation and activation instructions for: Microsoft Office for MacOS (2021/2019/2016). Please perform all steps carefully for successful installation and activation.

Note:
Before you begin the installation, make sure ALL previous Office installations are completely uninstalled. You can check this using the removal tool on the following page; www.softload.nl/verwijderingstool

This also applies to newly purchased PC/laptops, which occasionally come with Office 365 pre-installed.

* The images are purely for illustrative purposes. So do not pay attention to the version, because that is where the purchased version should be.

* During installation, there may be references to Office 365. If you followed all the steps of the removal tool, you can ignore these references.

Step 1 – Click on the above url and navigate to the website.
Log in with your Microsoft Account or create a new account.

Step 2 – Copy and paste the purchased license key into the box provided and click Next.

Step 3 – Make sure the product information
matches and that the product is for Mac
. Then click on ”Redeem”

Step 4 – You will then be redirected to
your Microsoft Account where under the
”Subscriptions” heading on the left, you can find your purchase
. Click ”Install” on the right
of the product to start the download.

Step 5 – When the download is complete;
Open Finder -> Downloads ->
Double-click on the downloaded file.

* If an error appears with;
”installer.pkg cannot be opened”
Move the file to Desktop -> Hold down Control and click on the file to start the installer. modify/enable”.

Step 6 – Agree to the license terms
Choose how you want to install the software
Choose which location you want to save the software
Enter your Mac’s password, if prompted

Installation will begin.

*You may later encounter complications while activating the product. In that case, in this screen, disable the (automatic) updates.

Step 7 – After the installation is complete, open ”Launchpad” and open
1 of the Office applications you just installed.

Step 8 – Log in with the previously used
Microsoft account to activate the software.

Congratulations, your Office for Mac is now activated.
